Town of Lochbuie Board of Trustees Approve Increase in Water Plant Investment Fees

The previous rate on a ¾” connection was $3,200.00 and the new rate is $8,424.00. A table is attached detailing the connection sizes and rates.
PIF’s are assessed anytime a new structure is built or a new connection to the water system is made, typically when a new dwelling unit is built. PIF’s are used to assist with the construction of water system capital improvement projects including things such as treatment plant expansion and improvements, water and sewer line replacement, water storage and water resources.

Based on the water system cost of service study, capital resources and improvement needs of the Town’s water treatment and distribution system the Board found the need to raise the plant investment fee (PIF) rates.
