Trustee Lois Lanter Honored for Years of Service to the Lochbuie Community

The Mayor presented Lanter with a plaque from the Board of Trustees and Staff thanking her for her many years of service to the Lochbuie community. Lanter’s term of office expired this year and she has chosen not to run for re-election.
Trustee Lanter has been a resident of Lochbuie since 1967 before the town incorporated in 1974.

Her community service to the Town began in 1978 when she first served on the Planning Commission. She then moved on to the Town Board of Trustees in 1984 and has served several subsequent terms with her most recent term from 2012-2016.

Lanter has made many contributions to the community over the years through her work with the Lions Club, the RE-3J School District and the Colorado Municipal League. She has been a member of the Lions Club since 1998 and has been instrumental in many of their events including the 9Health Fair, 4th of July Pancake Breakfast, and Halloween Bonfire and Weenie Roast. She also serves on the Colorado Lions Camp Board. She started the first Boy Scout Troop in Lochbuie, Troop 104, she still remembers.
