Town Board Approves Ordinance 623 Allowing Backyard Chickens in Some Town Areas


Ordinance 623 allows the backyard keeping of up to six fowl and/or birds of any combination of female chickens, ducks, pigeons, and/or doves. However, this ordinance does not affect HOA communities that prohibit backyard chickens in their covenants.

Lochbuie Police Department Suffers Loss of Officer Michael Anderson

On the evening of December 23, 2016, we lost one of our own. Lochbuie Police Officer Michael Anderson was involved in an off-duty traffic accident and succumbed to his injuries. The crash is currently under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol.
