On 12-16-2022 at approximately 1121 p.m., officers of the Lochbuie Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block Lonewolf Dr on a report of shots fired. Multiple reporting parties advised that a male party had been shot.
Upon arrival, officers found a juvenile male suffering from a gunshot wound. The juvenile male was pronounced deceased on scene. While on scene, officers learned that there had been a physical fight between at least two juvenile males that led to one male being shot.
While conducting the investigation, officers contacted a person of interest who was taken into custody for questioning.
This is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the community.
