The Town of Lochbuie has partnered with Vector Disease Control International, LLC (VDCI) to keep our mosquito population in check within the town limits. Our approach involves careful monitoring and strategic trapping, all aligned with the current Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's Mosquito Surveillance Plan.
When mosquito numbers go beyond our set threshold or pose a threat due to infection rates or population surge, we bring in the big guns - a targeted fogging program.
Based on recent data, we'll be fogging the entire town of Lochbuie, today, June 7, 2023, as long as the weather's on our side.
