No Fireworks

no fireworks

In accordance with Lochbuie's Municipal Ordinance, a strict policy prohibiting the use of fireworks is actively enforced within our community. All fireworks, with the exception of sparklers, snappers, and smoke bombs, are deemed illegal. This applies to the possession, storage, sale, and use of any unauthorized fireworks within our Town limits. Violation of these ordinances could lead to penalties as outlined in Subsection 10-1-70(d) of our local laws.

As per our legal definitions, 'fireworks' are considered any article, device, or substance prepared to create visual or auditory effects through combustion, explosion, deflagration, or detonation. This includes a wide range of items such as firecrackers, rockets, Roman candles, and any device containing any explosive or flammable compound.

We understand that fireworks can seem like a fun way to celebrate, but the risks they pose to our community's safety are significant. We kindly ask all Lochbuie residents to respect these rules, ensuring the safety, peace, and harmony of our beloved community. For a deeper understanding of our regulations, please refer to Sec. 10-12-20 and ARTICLE XII - Fireworks in our Municipal Code, accessible here:
