NOTICE OF ROAD CONSTRUCTION
Construction begins March 24th on Eastbound Weld County Road 2/E 168th Avenue. The road will be widened from Wagon Trail Avenue to King Street. The construction of the Eastbound widening is expected to extend into the first half of July.
During this time East and Westbound thru traffic on WCR2/168th Ave will be shifted north of the median onto the current Westbound Travel Lanes.
There will be sporadic lane closures to Eastbound thru traffic during this time and/or the working hours of 7 am-5 pm. Please follow all traffic control signage and obey the 50th Ave to Bridge St detour during these periods.
The following list of additional traffic impacts and recommended detours will help the residents of Lochbuie and Brighton travel through the closure safely during this time.
Only Right turns will be allowed On-to and Off-of WCR2/168th Ave at the intersections of Wagon Trail Ave, Homestead Ave, and King St.
Eastbound WCR2/168th Ave Traffic out of the Berkshire Neighborhood is recommended to use Willow Drive to Bonanza as a detour.
Eastbound WCR2/168th Ave Traffic out of Silver Peaks is recommended to use Jewell St or Freestone St in Lieu of King St.
60th Avenue will be closed from Husker Pl/Sugarloaf St to WCR 2/168th Ave
All Traffic out of Pierson Park and Ridgeline Vista is recommended to use Southbound N 60th Ave to the I-76 Frontage Road.
